Abby the Chipmunk

Wish I had a video of this one, but alas, we just sat and laughed! Dick came home from work this evening with a bag of grapes left from his supper. He sat down to finish watching the KU/NC game and started eating his grapes. Well, Abby likes absolutely anything that people put in their mouths (and lots of things they don't, but let's not go there!), so she was sitting politely begging for Dick to toss her a grape -- which he did a couple of times. However, somehow Dick lost his grip on the little bag of grapes, and it spilled on the floor by his chair. Believe me, Abby's quick when it comes to snatching dropped people-food! She got right after those grapes. Dick salvaged a handful before she could get to them, but Abby was snarfing them right up. Then, I couldn't figure out why she just stood there looking at the last 2-3 grapes and wouldn't pick them up and eat them. Since she's never had the opportunity to have this many grapes, I thought maybe she decided she didn't like them. But no, she was having a dilemma of another kind; her mouth wouldn't hold any more! She went over to her beloved cushy pillow and promptly spat out about 8-9 grapes! They just came spewing out of her mouth; it was really funny! She had them all stuffed in her mouth, trying to get them picked up before Dick got them. So she lay there and ate her grapes one at a time, then came back and got those last couple of grapes left on the floor. She was one contented pup with a grape-ful belly!
