Boston with the Kings

Dick and I spent a few days with Greg and Kim in Boston last weekend. It was a beautiful time to visit. The fall colors were just beginning, and the days were a mix of warm and fall-crisp. It was a great time with Greg and Kim and Ayse, seeing where they live and work, worshipping with them on Sunday, enjoying family!

We were warmly welcomed to Ayse's home -- first time for us to meet our "grandkitty"! She wanted to make sure our luggage carried here essence back to Kansas for our Abby and Reyna to smell when we returned.

Kim showed us around Tufts University where she works. This is her office.

We got to greet the newlyweds. This is Ang-Drew (Greg's pet name for his sister Angie and her new husband Andrew).

Greg grilled kabobs for all of us one evening

with Dad's assistance as light-provider.

We drove up the coast to a fishing village in Maine.

There was a gorgeous walkway along the ocean that provided brisk fall breezes and awesome sea-views.

My one request when we heard we'd drive up the Maine coast was to find a lobster shack and have fresh Maine lobster. Kim was game to give this a try but was less than impressed. Since she and I shared a lobster, this worked out great for me -- I loved it!

Greg, however, thoroughly enjoyed dismembering and consuming his lobster to the last bit!

Ayse spent her early kitten days safely shut in the bathroom while Greg and Kim were gone to work. That's where she eats and has her litterbox even now. So, any time anyone goes in the bathroom, Ayse thinks she should be in attendence to waltz around the tub and the sink and weave around "her guests" legs. This was one time she was neglected and had gotten shut out of the bathroom activities!
