Visiting Drew and Carrie in Erie

We spent a few days last weekend with Drew and Carrie at their home in Erie. Here are some of the highlights.

This is the school where Carrie teaches high school math for part of the morning and is Assistant Principal the rest of the day. She's really enjoying her job. I wish I had some "before" pictures. Carrie's taught at this school for seven years, and the change to the facilities has been drastic with most of the new construction happening these past six months or so. The student and staff morale seems to reflect the "upgrade" as well. Notice Carrie front and center welcoming us to their "new" school!

Drew's Bronco rebuilding project is really coming along. We all were really excited because he was able to get it running and keep it running while we were there!
I'm not sure I really want them to get this thing running if he ever lets Carrie drive! :-)

These are my two grandpuppies -- Molly and Annie. It was lots of fun to love on them and enjoy them while we were with the kids.

A get-together tradition for all of us is to have a batch of Carrie's Cinnabons. She definitely knows the way to her daddy's and hubby's hearts (must say I ate my share as well!). What a great cook and hostess Carrie has become.

Finally -- the promised group picture

Well, I faked both you and me out on that promise; I guess this won't accept scanned pictures, or else I don't know what I'm doing (probably the latter!). Oh well, trust me that we all have a good time together, making memories!

The Fisherman!

I wanted to get this picture of a couple of really nice trout posted to prove there are fish in Rainbow Lake. Bob and Dick took a boat out one evening, and Dick caught these two. Larry and Melinda as well as Bob and Dick caught other fish in the days we were there -- enough for all of us to eat our fill and some to bring back home as well. When we get a group picture from our time in Colorado, we'll post that as well.

Grand Lake

We spent a few days with Larry and Lisa and their kids as well as Grandma Gimple at Larry & Lisa's home on Grand Lake in Oklahoma;

a restful time away from home!

Our first experience on jet-skis. It was fun!
