April Fool's Day (13 days late)

I've never seen anything like this. We had about 3/4 inch rain yesterday morning and afternoon that was followed by about 3-4 inches of very wet snow late yesterday afternoon and overnight. It's already starting to melt this morning so it won't last long. The snowflakes were at least as big as quarters so it was beautiful but so very un-spring-like! Here's a picture of our Dalmatian out enjoying the big flakes -- oh, wait! she's a black Lab! :-)

Frosted Flowers

Oh, my! This just isn't supposed to happen in April in Kansas! Most of the grassy places are covered with snow -- not anything deep but definitely frosted. Our Easter Sunrise Service is promising to be very, very chilly; probably about 20 degrees!

Budding Friendship and Old Friends

...and with Kelly, Jaylen, and Kelora (don't know if I spelled that right) who drove in for the time with family. I got to hold Kelora! She's so tiny!
